Hey there, music fans! I'm Baxley, a rock and roll vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Belton, TX. I've been lucky enough to share the stage with some incredible artists like Alien Ant Farm, Blue October, and more. My sound, which I call "swag rock," is a mix of rock, hip hop, and honest songwriting with a message of hope and love.
I've been fortunate to receive recognition for my work, including nominations for "Best Frontman and Vocal Performance" in the Dallas Observer and "Best Frontman" in the Austin Chronicle. I attribute a lot of my stage presence to the King of Rock n' Roll, Elvis Presley. He taught me the importance of connecting with the audience and giving them a memorable show.
My latest single, "Like Drug," was co-written and produced by the amazing Brian Howes. It's a song that I'm really proud of, and I hope you'll give it a listen.
Growing Up in the Lone Star State
Growing up in Texas, I was surrounded by a rich musical heritage. From country to blues to rock, I was exposed to a wide variety of sounds that shaped my own musical style. I started playing guitar at a young age and quickly discovered my passion for songwriting.
Finding My Voice
It wasn't until I started experimenting with different genres that I found my unique sound. I was drawn to the energy and rhythm of hip hop, and I wanted to incorporate those elements into my rock music. I also believe in the power of storytelling through my lyrics, and I try to write songs that are honest and relatable.
The Importance of Touring
Touring has been a huge part of my career. I love getting out there and meeting new fans. There's nothing quite like the energy of a live show. I've had the opportunity to play in some amazing venues and share the stage with some incredible musicians.
What's Next for Baxley?
I'm always working on new music and planning my next tour. I'm excited to see what the future holds. I hope to continue growing as an artist and inspiring others with my music.
